POWER OPTIONS and Calculating your Power Budget
Powering your Access Points correctly will help you to avoid intermittent drop-outs and wifi failures. POE injectors and POE switches are good additions to your network – they allow you to power your devices over the LAN cable. You can use up to 100m of LAN cable as long as it is good quality. We recommend pure copper cable.
Note that the OM2P is the only device that requires 24V POE injectors and cannot be powered using ACTIVE 48V POE.
A further reminder – the A40 and A60 can only be powered using ACTIVE 48V POE switches or injectors.
